Thanks to the cooperation of the 22 participating SMEs, functional best practices identified from 30 award-winning enterprises were transferred to improve the various management functions of the participating SMEs.

The Study adopts a case book format of presentation, with side-by-side reference being made to the source of benchmarking. These cases provide vivid demonstration of how the planning and operative principles generated from the observations and findings of Benchmarking award-winning enterprise can be used to guide the improvement and changes of SMEs at their strategic, tactical and operational level functioning.
